The Last Little Blue Envelope

This is the sequel to 13 Little Blue Envelopes which I read earlier this month. It was definitely more enjoyable than the first one. I liked Oliver much more than Keith (other than the smoking)  and Keith was kind of a douche in this book. I hated how he would always pick on Oliver. Ginny was less annoying and I enjoyed the plot and writing in this book way more. Ellis was great and I loved Dublin and the cat guy (at the hostel). I loved the mention of Doctor Who and Harry Potter (obviously). I found that Ginny and Oliver's relationship was much cuter than her and Keith's. I would recommend this book to people who read the first one and didn't hate it, or people who didn't really enjoy the first one who would like to redeem their view on the series. 3 stars, 81% percent.

Hamilton

So. I really like Hamilton. (My sister would say obsessed, but hmm..). I love the soundtrack, and I listen to it a lot, though I haven't actually seen it. :(  And I probably won't soon unless I fly over too America (which probably won't happen any time soon), and book waaay ahead. The soundtracks the best thing ever, and if you have the opportunity to listen to it, do. Because it's the best. And then watch the Grammy performance, and there's a Schuyler Sister clip on YouTube. My favourite songs would have to be Satisfied, It's Quiet Uptown and The Schuyler Sisters. (Les Mis is still my favourite musical though, you should watch that).

13 Little Blue Envelopes by Maureen Johnson Book Review

I have to say that I didn't really enjoy this book. The premise was good, though I feel like it could have had much better results. The main character, Ginny Blackstone, felt irritating and unrealistic to me, and I felt like the plot was a bit unrealistic. One thing I did like was the aunt's story, and I enjoyed seeing where she would send Ginny to next. Ginny's interactions with people annoyed me, and her as a character frustrated me so much. The ending tied up some ends, though I don't feel like it completely closed everything off, though I suppose those questions may be answered in the sequel. Another thing I didn't enjoy too much was Maureen Johnson's writing style, which is surprising, since I didn't mind it in Let It Snow, which I read last year. My favourite part would have to be in the overnight train to Paris, or when they were in London, just to see how stupid Ginny was in that she didn't know how to use the Tube or one of those hand-held showers. I would recommend it to people who like travel, (kind of) cutesy books and don't mind annoying main characters.
